Collaboration with other initiatives is essential to maximise the impact of NIAGARA and accelerate the development of innovative solutions for cleaner and safer water. Through its participation in international clusters, NIAGARA exchanges knowledge, aligns activities with complementary projects and contributes to shaping the future of sustainable water management in Europe.

The ICT4Water Cluster is a European network of more than 60 research and innovation projects developing digital solutions for the water sector. The cluster promotes the application of information and communication technologies (ICT) to improve water management, monitoring, treatment and resource efficiency.

Objectives:

The ICT4Water cluster brings projects together supporting them to:

  • Exchange information and best practices.
  • Disseminate and exploit project outputs.
  • Contribute to defining digital water strategies.
  • Contribute to policy development in digital and water domain.

The ZeroPollution4Water Cluster (ZP4W) is a collaborative initiative bringing together Horizon Europe and LIFE projects working to protect groundwater and drinking water quality in line with the European Green Deal and the EU Zero Pollution Action Plan. The cluster focuses on addressing major challenges such as groundwater contamination, emerging pollutants and the impacts of climate change on water resources.

Objectives

  • Capitalise on research and innovation results and identify future needs.
  • Develop joint policy recommendations and briefs to support EU legislation.
  • Demonstrate effective water management practices through case studies.
  • Promote collaboration among projects and stakeholders.
